Things I Learnt from my Travel : Part 1

Firstly it made me respect fear.
Yes you read it right.everyone who sets out to achieve something big or small always gives you one straightforward advice.
“Never Fear Anything”
Conquering your fear is good and is a positive sign but neglecting or underestimating your fear will make you go on the wrong track
The fear which Iam talking about have made me take care of myself, has made me keep a check on my environment and surroundings. It has made me very attentive, alert and cautious.
For ex. One of the advice my parents gave me was that always be alert else chances are pretty high that you will be robbed but I took it a bit differently
In order that you shouldn’t be robbed, you should be attentive and cautious.
This fear has always made me take enough precautionary measures so that all is well with me.
Next it made me more adaptive and adjustable
I usually stay in dormitories and I have stayed in dormitories that charge Rs 30/night not because I don’t have enough money but just to experience how much my body and mind can take
I have also spent nights in waiting room of railway station and also in bus terminus (NOT Bus Stop)
And to save time to ravel across cities apart by a night journey I take up the general compartment in the trains during night (eg Jammu to Amritsar, Hyderabad to Chennai,Visakhapatnam to Calcutta to name a few).
And I don’t think I need to explain what it takes to travel in a general compartment of any train in India.

I also noticed that traveling has improved my observation power to a very great extent
This covers observing people around me and making note of landmarks or something unique within the locality. While going to a particular spot for the first time I would always take a public transport. I would make a note of some important landmarks, lane diversions and others but while coming back I usually prefer taking a lift (it obviously saves money) but only in two wheelers
Moreover traveling has honed my abilities in trusting people
This is definitely not by how they look or what they say but by how they make me feel, I get positive vibes when I am in someones company but in most of the cases I usually don’t. this is purely instinctive
In fact traveling has made my instincts strong on whom to approach help for  and whom not to. Till date I couldn’t explain this feeling of mine on why I am inclined to in approaching some over the others.
But my instincts have always proven right.
And one biggest thing I have learnt is to trust my instincts.
This has also lead me to become friendly with some of the localites. When we are in anew place it is NOT often recommended to talk much to anyone but it is often good if you strike a chord with a knowledgeable localite as the information which he provides about the local scenario is far much than even what Wikipedia provides at time.
As while you are traveling alone at some point or the other you have to take help from the localites at least asking for direction becomes mandatory.
NOTE: if someone  gives you a shortcut to reach a particular place,DON’T head straightaway, confirm it from a few others and then decide or else there is nothing wrong by taking the original route if it is the first time you are reaching there.

Part2 coming soon.
but my next post would be a travelogue about the party capital of India, yes you guessed it right about Goa that to in the cheapest manner possible if one is adventorous
