The Joy of Traveling ……………………….Alone

Everyday scores of people travel from one place to other like

  • Children going to school
  • Students going to college(it is a totally different issue where they hang out once they said this to their parents)
  •  Adults going to work
  •   Friends going to malls, cinema and restaurants
  •   Ladies going for shopping

Many of us also would have fallen on one of this category in various phases of our lives.
Since this is my first blog I would like to explain what travel means to me and what it has thought me
And from now on whenever I mention travel I mean traveling long distances or going to exotic places
Traveling is a great fun. Some people travel for business, some for vacation, fun, relaxation, adventure and others who travel to their hometown or to their relatives place to spend some quality time with them.
All the reasons mentioned above undoubtedly has a concrete purpose which made them to travel
I too have a purpose for travel……………………………………….
To discover myself………………………as I travel alone
By this I don’t want to mean that one have to go to different places for self realization or self discovery.
“The Deepest Secrets of Ones own Self is worth Exploring”
Yes and I have discovered a lot about myself by traveling and not to mention traveling alone.
The first time I traveled alone was purely an accident (more on that later) but after that trip I made it a point that I will go on more such trips.
“Zindagi main pehli baar sirf Ek baar aata hai”.
And we should give our 100% to enjoy the thrill and experience which it offers.

Like many of us when I was confronted with the fact that I would be traveling alone,I had mixed feelings about it for I was thrilled and excited with the fact that it was my first time whereas I was a bit scary and apprehensive of the unknown and what time would have in stock for me on my first lone travel.
Well even if you are not there are enough forces in the world which will make you fear of the unknown and some one would give his best to make that it is indeed true and goes a great deal to make you feel worse.
In my case it was my father who gave me a thorough explanation of what all could possibly go wrong and of course did did cover a whole range of topic about which I could write a book.
A glimpse of them were:

  • Not waking up on time
  •  Missing the train/flight
  •  Forgetting the ID’s
  •  Forgetting the wallet
  • Catching the wrong train
  • Being pickpocketed
  •  Being robbed
  • Being kidnapped
  • No talking to strangers

Well the list is exhaustive
The fatherly care was appreciated but it wasn’t doing any good in boosting my morale
Despite all my fears and apprehensions I went on to complete my first journey (traveling alone) and went to accomplish many more, each time exploring the unknown vistas and spheres of my own abilities to which previously I wasn’t introduced to.

As I have mentioned earlier  the various reason why one travel ,but one of my trademark or signature style of traveling has been

  • Finding someone
  • Finding something
  • Also exploring the vast cultural diversities of our country and the abundant knowledge which it hosts.

And yeah for the manner in which traveling pleasurises me and things I have learnt from my experience
Keep checking this blog.
